about lightshaper

After having taken photography classes as a teenager, I spent the next decade documenting vacations and family gatherings using both film and digital cameras. Finally, I discovered my true passion for photography six years ago.

The following couple of years were spent mainly shooting on film with vintage Voigtlander cameras from the 1950s, with either inaccurate or non-existent light meters. My goal was to learn to see and measure light with my own eyes, understanding exposure through trial and error. Voigtlander's outstanding lenses helped me obtain some wonderful images as I came closer to achieving my goal.

I have since moved to a Canon EOS DSLR system, although every once in a while I still shoot with film SLRs: Canon, Nikon and even an old Mamiya/Sekor.

I enjoy all types of photography but I have a preference towards architectural subjects, landscapes and family portraiture.

This website shares some of my images with you. I have selected some of my personal favorites and included them in my portfolio. All images are available for sale, either framed or unframed. You can also see more images on my Flickr gallery.

Born in Argentina, I have made Northern California my home for the last ten years. I have been fortunate to travel and photograph many wonderful locations in many different countries, but I have yet to find a place more uniquely scenic than the City by the Bay!

photography sessions

I am offering my services for photography sessions. I mainly focus on family portraiture; however, I am flexible to take on other types of assignments. Here are some examples of my work. I can be reached via e-mail for further information on rates and availability.
